What is Messy Church?

Messy Church is a new informal way for children and families to experience church and learn more about Jesus. Messy Church involves craft activities, games, music, a brief worship service and food. Originating in the UK, this type of chuch event has swept across the globe and is being used by many different Christian denominations keen to provide a suitable worship and learning option for busy modern families.

What's happening at Holy Trinity?

In the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Hall (Gisborne Road next door to McDonalds), Messy Church occurs once a month for ten months of the year. Each month there is a different theme based on a popular bible story and the format is:
  • A variety of craft activities and games suitable for all age groups;
  • Then a short (approx. 15 minute) informal and child-friendly worship service of song, bible story and prayer;
  • Lastly a provided 2 course meal.
There is no cost for attending Messy Church although donations are possible.

All children and families from the Bacchus Marsh and surrounding communities are very welcome to attend - your Christian denomination or non-denomination status does not matter. You will be welcomed, your children will enjoy the relaxed experience - bring your family and friends. Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Messy Church is currently in recess however if you would like more information or would like to get involved ring the church office or leave a message on this website.
